Our Story

Swasthya Sangi was founded in 2021 by siblings with a simple objective: to make basic healthcare and preventive health information more accessible to communities that are often difficult for conventional healthcare systems to reach. The initiative began through grassroots health camps and awareness programmes in Chhattisgarh. Since then, Swasthya Sangi has supported health check-ups and awareness sessions for more than 100 families, mobilised over INR 15,00,000 in sponsorships and donations, and worked with a network of 30 field staff and volunteers.

The next phase of this work focuses on an underserved population that is central to India's growth: construction workers. Construction work is physically demanding, mobile and often carried out under exposure to heat, dust, noise and occupational hazards. Regular preventive healthcare can be difficult to access, particularly for workers who move between projects and locations. Swasthya Sangi is developing a worksite-based model that combines preventive screening, health education, referrals and access to relevant public welfare programmes.

The aim is not to replace employers, hospitals or government systems. It is to help connect them more effectively with the workers they are intended to serve.
